The purpose of this policy is to describe Connecticut Children’s commitment to providing financial assistance to families who have healthcare needs and are uninsured, underinsured, ineligible for other government assistance, or are otherwise unable to pay for emergent or other medically necessary care based on their individual financial situations. This policy outlines eligibility criteria, parameters, and the process for providing fair and consistent financial assistance to our patients and families according to a discounted/sliding fee schedule that is based on family size and income.
